The principal applicant is awarded 10 points in this factor under any combination of the following circumstances:

Adaptability

Minimum one year of full-time authorized work in Canada by the principal applicant or the accompanying spouse or common-law partner

Minimum two years of full-time authorized post-secondary study in Canada by the principal applicant or accompanying spouse or common-law partner

Principal applicant or accompanying spouse or common-law partner’s family relationship in Canada:

(i) their father or mother,
(ii) the father or mother of  their  father  or mother,
(iii) their child,
(iv) a child of their child,
(v) a child of their father or mother,
(vi) a child of the father or mother of their father or mother, other than their  father or mother, or
(vii) a child of the child of  their  father  or mother

Please note that points are not awarded for cousins in this factor.

The principal applicant has a spouse or common-law partner who is not an accompanying dependant and is a Canadian citizen  or  permanent resident living in Canada.

The principal applicant receives points on the Arranged Employment Factor

Spouse's or common-law partner's education

For  a  spouse  or  common-law  partner who would be awarded 25 points on the Education Factor

For  a  spouse  or  common-law  partner who would be awarded 20 or 22 points
